I found one too about 15 years ago, saw the 1916, prayed id flip it over and see a mint mark. I did, it was an S. For half a second I was thrilled, until it registered. Still a good coin though!It's is had me going for a minute. It's a S mint mark

He is a lucky man. Did he keep it?So close, so what would you do if you found one. My friend found one and lamented over what to do for 20 plus years till I found a reputable dealer to send it of for grading. There is a real good chance one could be counterfeit the dealer explained it was the most counterfeited coin starting right after they were minted. His is real and actually graded better than he thought it would.
