Love finding those Merc's Dont want to count how many have come up blank on the big D !!!
Geeezzz, usually San Fran had the low mintage. I envy all my friends on the west coast as most of their coins have the S.
What happened in Denver, home of the Comstock lode, that year the mintage was so low ??
Guess we need to move to Colorado for a better chance of finding that elusive D !!!

So close, so what would you do if you found one. My friend found one and lamented over what to do for 20 plus years till I found a reputable dealer to send it of for grading. There is a real good chance one could be counterfeit the dealer explained it was the most counterfeited coin starting right after they were minted. His is real and actually graded better than he thought it would.
