Went out to a housing complex on post today. I started off by hunting one of the small yards, but after only finding a small amount of clad and a junk ring I decided to try one of the parks. I started off by hunting around a slid and by the time I got half way around it I found my 1st silver ring of the day!!! I then moved on to the second slid where I found my second silver ring of the day!! Well, as I was heading towards the swing set I got a good signal so I began digging. After removing the plug I could see the beauty that is gold!! :bouncy: Unfortunately, it doesn't have a mark on it, and has pits, making it just gold plated. Anyway, my last silver ring of the day was found underneath some monkey bars. It gave a signal that jumped all over the silver range.

BTW, the rings in the photo are in the order they were found.

So, the question is whether or not my Dad beat me. Well, he not only beat me in clad, but he also beat me in the amount of silver found.

Totals:
Dad:
$6.21
10 wheaties
1937 merc :clapping: (pictured)
And a Sterling Silver Captains button (pictured)

Me:
$4.81
3 silver rings (pictured)
gold plated ring (pictured)
1 junk ring (pictured)
2 toy cars

Yikes! Fab hunt. That is a lot of silver jewelry for one hunt. I was a Navy man so I'd call them Lieutenant's Bars. My 8 YO niece and I found a set on her birthday last summer.

Great day.
