surfchunker is right.
Preferrably all (open pattern) or at least some portion from around Conductive 30 to 50 and then down deep into the iron area (preferably Ferrous 35) needs to be open for TTF to shine. TTF needs to work with an anti-iron nulling pattern.

But it depends on what that trashy park pattern looks like. Maybe its leaving an area of iron open?
The published trashy park patterns i've seen discriminate iron out.

If that pattern is indeed nulling all iron out, TTF isn't gonna be of any advantage.
Generally when using a typical trashy park pattern its best to use MTConductive... but again it all depends on what that pattern you're using looks like.

It's the one in the post above. The screenshot of the Emulator...

If thats the pattern you've been using, it will and apparently does work great with TTF.

Good luck with that new toy of yours!

Sometimes I just end up "shot in the butt" with luck! Turns out that pattern is NOT what G4E uses and somehow I screwed up and asscociated it with his settings. I copied his settings for TTF straight off his website into E-Trac Manager and so I had my TTF mode set up fine BUT I had too restrictive of a pattern. I did however, switch to Quick Mask (and had it wide open) anytime I "nulled out". So I did the right thing - sort of - for the wrong reason. I just live a few miles from that sports complex and I will go back next week on my days off (Tu-We-Th) to try out the open screen TTF.

Here's that sports complex, by the way... The areas in RED are off limits but there's still plenty to do here!

Then this is the field out back of the RV Park we live in... there's a lot of screws, battery terminals, lugnuts and other automotive junk in this field but I've managed a few modern bullets and a few wheaties out of here with my ACE 250 and Sovereign

And then here's MY 11 acres, the previous owner left rifle cases, pulltabs, bottle caps, screws and nails, and assorted other trash on the land...

That last place is the PRIMARY reason I wanted an E-Trac...

also with the pattern you show you have the top right blocked out and that might cost you a silver dollar

Thanks Surf, I have already corrected the pattern issue, somehow I got the trashy park pattern from a download and thought it went with G4E's TTF settings. I went back and re-read G4E's TTF instructions on his website and am now going to try the RELIC pattern...
