I hunted this weekend in a few 100+ year old parks with my Thunder coil.
The key date 1921S buffalo was about 7 inches deep in between some junk on each side. I could read the date and mint mark right away but didn't get my hopes up until I tooth brushed it.
The 1919D Buffalo is a good year also.
The 1914 Dime was almost on complete edge.
The old hair pin read just like an Indian penny @ 8 inches.
I flattened the copper bracelet to take a better picture. It was in a different park than the hair pin.
It gave me a silver quarter reading about 6 inches deep but I could tell it was larger and had a gap in the signal like a large ring.
Dimes are 1909O,1914,1918S
Nickels are 1902,1918,1919D,1921S,1923 (1918 and 1923 were in the same hole)
Indian pennies are 1895,1896
8 Wheat pennies are back to 1910.
Not pictured is a small sterling ring with the stone missing, 2 very old large Shell casings (one is unfired)
and a couple of small plain buttons.
