If you give the B.C. medical system an infinite amount of time, and the patient an infinite amount of patience, and the government an infinite amount of money [to pay for the Olympics :):] a patient can get an MRI... Going tomorrow for my [long awaited and long overdue] MRI in Kelowna. At least I may get some answers!! :):

An MRI is okay... noisy, and, if you are claustrophobic [which I am not] a little tight.... plus I really hate the contrast medium that they inject into you..... does weird things to me.

That being said, the techs never tell you anything... I go to the doc on Monday for that!!

But, at least that years wait is over and done with! :):

Three years ago when I went for mine, Grace and I showed up early so I could have a sneak preview to determine if I should take the valium that my doc gave me "just in case" I needed it. Seeing the open ends of the tube, I assured Grace that I should be okay. I guess I should point out that I'm as claustrophobic as they come.......I can't even sleep in a tent for cryin' out loud without scrambling for the zipper in the middle of the night. My turn comes and as I enter the room, the lady before me sits next to Grace in the waiting room. Grace casually says to her.......My husband is going in now. I hope it wasn't too claustrophobic. This lady tells Grace......Good lord......if he's claustrophobic, I hope he took something for it ? Grace says.......Oh no ! :lol: I'll tell you Mike........it wasn't long before my thumb was hitting that panic button. :rofl: But they told me.....if we let you out sir, we're going to have to go thru this all over again. Man, it took everything I had to get thru that. I was whiter than a bleached t-shirt when I got out. Still shaking my head at a one year wait. That is utterly unforgivable for any "medical system".
 
Who ever knew that a test could have that much noise..

but, since I have lost all the weight [another story], it was fairly roomy... at least more than enough for me..

You can feel it traveling though your whole body, ears, nose, fingers and even your privates, totally scared me the crap out of me the first time I had it. plus one of those injections you never totally lose. Cat Scan, MRI, Bone scan, Pet scan, and C scan. I went though all those a couple of years ago, for a reaction to the flue shot, and came up with blood patches coming to the top of the skin and all kinds of joint and vascular problems. A lot of money to spend to find out my problem is I was a Lesbian Trapped in a Mans body. :shrug:
