The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

LINKS TO ALL QUESTIONS & ANSWERS CONCERNING THE SOVEREIGN

This says it all......"While my motivation for compiling all this information may prove selfish, in that "I" am simply sick and tired of answering questions or defending theories over and over again"......... Why do you feel like you have to? Is answering every single question so important to you? Is your opinion so much more important than anyone else's on this forum? And then you throw this in also........... "My" criteria for what was "worth covering" was not based on my opinion versus what "I feel to be completely wrong advice by others"......Are you kidding me? That wasn't my advice, That was Minelabs advice. You are just not going to stop are you? You should have ended this back then when we both agreed to disagree.
 
Where are they?
 
I would call into question who is being "all about themselves" as they continue to attack people on a personal bases. Are your beliefs really so weak that you must continue to try to sway others by getting needlessly personal to try to smear differing opinions? Is it really necessary to continue to make personal remarks about people simply because they don't agree with your theories? If you have points to make on various techniques and your reasons why then you will do much more for your cause by sticking to information and not straying into personal warfare on another person's character. We could have continued our debate on various things had you kept to the facts as you see fit and not stray into remarks of a personal nature. Once that happens it is pointless to try to continue discussing the pros and cons of various topics. It would be wasted energy on my part. This is the last I will have to say in relation to your negative attacks. I really didn't even want to give any further merit to such comments but I felt at least this point should be made.

Once again, every single thing I said in that debate had nothing to do with my personal theories. It comes from experience and from Minelab themselves so you were doing nothing more than arguing with Minelab on their own facts that can be found in their manuals. I know in your mind you think you know more than them. You never answered a single question but I answered everyone of yours except one as I thought the answer was so obvious that if you actually knew anything about Minelab Sovereign's you wouldn't have had to ask it. I gave you every opportunity to prove your point and all you did was dance around and avoid it. The difference between you and I is that if I have something to debate I naturally assume that the person I'm debating is at the very least is as smart as me and probably much smarter so I need to have facts on my side. You on the other hand assume everybody is stupid so you have no need for facts. If you want to drop this all you have to do is quit doing these little drive by's like you did in this post with your insinuations about "wrong advice from people".
 
I am sad to see you two go at each other like this. I very much respect BOTH of your opinions on matters concerning the Sovereign. I do hope that you are able to put your differences aside, because I, like others, have benefited from input given by both of you. I hope you can resolve it for the sake of others trying to learn how to use the Sovereign.
 
I'm still not sure where I got personal. I made a joke about telling him his GT might not be perfect is like telling someone else that their baby is ugly. If that's what he is talking about and joking around hurts his feelings he better stay out of heated debates. I've actually been a lot nicer to Critter than I would be normally with the content in this particular case with the outlandish claims by Critter in this debate.
 
I wish you lived closer, i'd love to hunt with someone who knows the Sov well. I hope next time you visit GA you will let me know... unless you don't have time to hunt a bit, and I ceratinly understand that but let me know anyway.

You got me to go back and dig out my manual and learn some stuff I missed when I first got my GT (my first detector) I skimmed the manual when I got the GT, thought I knew it all, and started hunting but now I know more.

One thing i've learned about all detectors (and this is a fact) is that what works for someone in New England, Californai, or Missouri... may not work for someone in NW Georgia.

I hope to get out to a bad mineralized iron pit tomorrow and try the GT with IM off... i'll let you know how it goes.

Julien, there are people here that know more about the Sovereign's than me when it comes to their type of hunting. I just know it well for what settings to use for my bad ground and my main type of hunting which is iron infested ghost towns and logging camps. Rick ND and others on here are expert in knowing what settings to use at least in there ground when chasing those deep, deep coins in those old parks. I'm getting better on the beaches though. I won't be back down in your area this year but plan on a trip to see the family in the spring and I'm always up for a hunt especially in your area.

Ever hit any logging towns in SW WA (Longview) or in Oregon? I'll bet there is TONS of iron in them...
 
I wish you could talk Minelab into producing that waterproof Sovereign design that you posted. Looks like maybe Garrett beat them to it though.
