Made a spare handle for Deus remote

I picked up a used remote recently and decided to make my own handle. First I also bought a used middle stem and the hardware for it. I made the handle out of a piece of hard wood, roof flashing, piece of tubing and armrest from my ace 250. I used a 1/4-20 nylon screw and threaded the handle to lock the stem from sliding. I intend to paint it with enamel black. It doesn't feel any heavier than the other one.

Great work..
Yeah you need to paint over that Green stuff...LOL

Thanks, I intend to purchase an armrest for a Fisher and use it because it is black and put the Yellow one back on the Ace 250. There is an EBay seller that is selling a good copy of XP's for 120.00.

Wow!

Extremely good work, yes planted black it'll look even more professional.

Very crafty

Nice job !

Great workmanship! I like how you carved the wooden handle. It's all good.

Nice job on that mod...

Thanks all for the acknowledgment of my homespun craftsmanship.
Today I finished the work in progress project. I really like the Fisher armrest over the Deus and Garrett ones because of the wider foot. I just may whittle out a couple of wedges and replace the Deus one on the Deus telescoping unit. Hope u like the paint job.
