Good morning everyone. I had a question maybe someone could help me with. I am new to the manticore, where i am hunting i have a lot of aluminum trash. On my t2 you can just raise the discrimination from low to high. Left of the screen to right. I at this point want to just pick out the silver. Bit i am not clear on how the discrimination on the manticore works. Is there a simple way to raise the discrimination and ignore iron and aluminum?

I think i will. Reading the information from a book might help it sink in. I kind of miss an owners manual. It was part of the fun whenever you got something new. Usually anyway. There is the other extreme, a gazillion page manual just to turn it onTry using the high conductor mode and turning all metal off . Also .. Try purchasing a printed Manticore manual( ebay or Amazon) or download the pdf and it will explain how to discriminate anything you want . Good luck

Yes its a huge plus coming from the stone age on detecting, take full advantage of it , it has helped me , and its free.
Plus its great checking on low tides anywhere you want to check without looking it up.
Agree. I think is ridiculous that you pay $1500+ for a detector and it doesn’t come with a printed manual ! My aging eyes find it much easier to read a manual than reading a downloaded manual on a iphone or computer. I guess I’m just old school. lolI think i will. I believe you can notch them.
Though could miss gold.

The Manticore handbook is the best one.
I had to look at mine again , yes go to discrimination pattern arrow to right from all metal to custom and top top right botton and scroll your red vertical line the says ( 0) and move it over to right to accept or reject your ID# , now you can adjust selection width by using the north / south arrows on control pad , remember any thing that is in Grey is notched out, hope it helps, just play around with it and you'll get the hang of it ,HHHank
Also cut your volume all the way down so the wifey is giving you the stink eye lol .

Is the target completely blocked out ?
No tone or ID ? Even on the 2D screen ?
On my old Explorer xs it was not reported.
Though showed on the screen in the blocked block.

And remember if you mess it up you can reset just the detecting mode your in.
You don't have to reset the whole machine.
That's all in that book.

Being mostly bed ridden I have maybe 20 hours on it in my yard after 2 years.
Mostly learning it's functions.
Sucks.
Miss those all day digs.
