There was a post about 3 months ago about the low volume of the GG headphones, and a solution on how to boost the volume up. Does anybody remember that post and the solution? If so, would you re-post the solution. Thanks.
DocBrown said:After a 6 hour hunt with GG uw headphones I came away with mixed feelings. As I mentioned in my previous post that I have hearing problems and they are severe. I am totally deaf in one ear and only have about 30% hearing left in the other. The reason I am stating this is my results may not be usable for someone else so here goes. The first thing that I really noticed was that the higher pitched sounds were louder than the lower pitched sounds. With my damaged hearing it was very pronounced and almost to the point of being irritating but some may find it great because silver really screams. I really liked the fit and feel of the headphones. They were snug without thinking that you had your head in a vise. There were comfortable and would be great for all day hunts. It was a cool day so I not sure if they would sweat your ears on a hot day. I wish the cord was just a bit longer because it would tug on the headphones when you lay the detector down. Another concern I had was since they are waterproof they have a different connector which exits the detector straight out instead of a 90 degree like most headphones. Where the cord leaves the connector it bends the wire excessively and I think with regular use might be a failure point. So overall I would say that on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best. I would personally rate these at 7. I will keep these headphones and use them in the water as summer is coming. My review may not be fair because these are intended to be used underwater and I was land hunting.
