We have had over 50 days of 100+ degree weather. My wife told me to man up and go detecting. I don't think she
cared if I went detecting as long as I got out of the house. I picked up the new digging tool at a garage sale for 8.00
and you really need it here with the dry ground. Here is the mixed bag.
1. Thimble with "Diamond Mill Sherman Texas" advertising for "Acorn Flour" This mill operated in the early 1900's
2. A 1 mil Oklahoma tax token.
3. "New State shirt and overall co." button from early 1900's as well
4. "Round House" overall button. Company started in 1901.
5. a button with "Famous" on it, I think it as jeans but not sure
6. corroded 1957 Rosie, had to use electrolysis on it to even see what it was.
7. A button from "A. J. Tower Co. Boston" it says Towers Wire Fastened" This company made
rain slickers from the 1880's and for many years. I saw a slicker on ebay and it looked
like the ones cowboys wore on a horse it the rain, at least in the movies.
8. a cartridge ejector from a revolver.
9 a big pocket knife not sure the make.
Thanks for looking it was hot but had a good time. On the bright side, we have no mosquitoes this year.
