I got very excited the other night and thought I had an error coin worth $200.00 to $500.00 dollars, but it was my mistake. The 2000 Sacawega dollar with the P mint mark had an error on the reverse side worth 200 if circulated and 500 if uncirculated. I was hollering like a Rooster who just discovered the Hens, but then I realized the coin I have has no mint mark and was not an error coin. I was the error, ha.ha.
It would have been a great find if it had been the error coin in question. Live and learn and die and forget it all. Happy New Year everybody and happy hunting. If the Eagle is at the top when you flip the coin from the obverse to the reverse, that's normal. If it's at the bottom, it's the mint error coin, if it has the P mint mark. Hope some of y'all find one.
I have quite a large amount of change in quart jars, mostly pennies and some other change I intend to go thru as soon as I get one of those microscopes you hook up to the computer and look at on the screen. The other magnifiers I have just seem to cause me a lot of eye strain.
Once I roll all this change up and turn it in to the bank, I intend to start buying some change and going thru it on a regular basis. In 2007, someone found a penny worth $126,000 in a roll of pennies from the bank and another worth quite a bit, but not as much as the first penny.
The PC microscope and a good jeweler's scale are on my list for the new year and later on one of those coin cleaning machines and 2 new digital cameras. One camera for regular use and one to be converted to a compact digital infrared camera. Santa has his work cut out for him and his elves next year. lol While he's at it, maybe he can get me one of those remote controlled model helicopters or airplane to take some video or photos from the air looking for areas that will show up with aerial photos and video, especially infrared.
