More park goodies for an old area

Southwind

Went to the city park where things have really started to slow down lately even for the E-Trac and had a old area come to life. We had been over this area several times and only found a few keepers so we assumed it was a lightly used area. Last night showed signs just the opposite. I found a dozen wheats, a standing liberty, no date, a 1916 barber dime, 1907 Canadian dime, a 1953 rosie, a 1935 buffalo and a Kansas tax token. On the way back to the truck I hit a pocket spill consisting on a wheat, the standing liberty and the Buffalo. We will probably go back to the same area today to see if this might be a new hot spot.

NOTE: I was using manual and not auto +3 like usual. I lower the manual sensitivity to 26. Many of these coins were in the 8-10" range.

Looks like some great finds. My question is did you lower your gain while running manual sensitivity? Someone here suggested that when using manual sens. Thanks.

I ran manual at 26. I went to the park again last night, for a very short time, and found another buffalo, mercury dime and a wheat. I was only there for probably 20 minutes and had to leave.

VERY nice !

Thanks for the info.I have switched over to manual and am running at 30 right now with gain at 30 but i will drop both down to 26 and see what happens.I dug a merc at 9" the other day and i believe it will produce more but will have to slow down and dig some numbers that bounce.Love the slq's one of my favs
