My 2020 Totals

Thanks! My car and my digger probably needs a rest for a while :)
I havent broken a digger in a while but i did break 2 whites diggers in the past 3 years.

Try a Predator tools model 85. I used to break diggers too, but have not been able to damage the Predator trowel over several years use.
Love the silver. The research leads you to it, well done!

Thanks Jeff!
The first year I posted on the Etrac forum (2013) I pulled 363 silver. I have pulled over 300 a couple of other times but every year a person has to work harder at researching and putting on the miles to public sites.
Still alot of fun though.
Dave

Thanks for sharing Dave that is a stellar amount of detecting my friend! I have to ask is that your best on silvers?
HH Jeff

thanks. I will look that one up. I recently bought a ROE huntsman hand digger from Australia but havent used it yet. That thing is a beast. I wont break that.

Absolutely one of the best shovels Made I used to used Lesche but now only predators now the blade is welded so solid to the handle where the leaches can bend,

Man all that post does is makes my mouth water lol. That is a lot of digging. You probably need a new digger. Congratulations on a very great year.

I think i will order one of those. I used to use a Lesche but my hands would cramp up from the handle design. It was much better with the whites digger.
I broke 2 of them right at the handle and the blade. Whites sent me a new one and said they should absolutely never break. I snapped the blade in the middle on the 3rd earlier this year. Now they are out of business.

Yes, thanks. definitely alot of digging and driving. I finished the year last week hunting in Kansas parks for a few days as i had to go that far to get out of the snow. Pretty tough in that area but i pulled some more silver coins, old nickels and other finds.

See how the predators are solid between handle and blade I wore a lesche out in one year last year and it bent these are reinforced where the lesche are not it’s a better design

I wanted to share a summary of my 2020 finds. I ended the year with 259 silver coins.

We had very dry year but a mild winter which allowed me to get a lot of hunting under my belt this year. I work full time as a software engineer so my detecting is geared toward the weekends and time off. I reside in North Dakota very close to the Minnesota border. My Parents live in North Dakota close to the South Dakota and Montana border and I have a brother that lives in Nebraska very close to the Iowa border so my hunting area involves multiple states. I couldn’t make it to Canada this year of course because of travel restrictions.

All finds were found at public sites I researched with the exception of about 3 hours of house permission hunting.

Machines used this year was almost all Minelab eTrac with the exception of about 40 hours of hunting on the Minelab Equinox at the beginning of the year.

I want to thank everyone for following my posts over the year and wish everyone a great 2021!

Dave
