I hope everyone is enjoying a happy holiday with family and friends . Well its snowing outside so there is no metal detecting today . I was bored and decided to count up most of my finds .I have gave somethings away and so this is not a total but fairly close .I bought my Etrac back in June so this is only about 6 months worth of findings. I was using another brand metal detector before then and it served me well but I must say that my finds did increase after buying the Etrac .
In the few months that I have owned my Etrac it has rewarded me well. My oldest find is a 1838 Cornet penny which I did a remarkable version of the happy dance
. My other best finds are 5 fifty cent pieces 4 silver and one clad .Several mercury dimes and some buffalos and a V nickel I was very lucky and found 8 rings 3 that were gold and 2 were silver and the rest were junk rings but still better than a zincoln
.
My clad finds include 33.75 in quarters ,16.30 in dimes ,1.60 in nickels and approximately 3.78 in pennies not counting zincolns. So thats about 57.88 without the silver coins added in .
My favorites are the 1838 penny and one of the walking liberties that had been through a house fire .
To everyone reading this Happy Holidays and I hope everyone has a very lucky hunting year ahead of them.
