My first 100 silver of the year.......

Goes4ever

New member
well hit my goal of 100 for the year early, I have been detecting a lot. Everything else is just gravy. Here is my first 100 silvers of 2011

Ok I am Drooling on my Keyboard.
Awesome thanks for sharing!

That is super impressive! That 1895O Barber Half you found yesterday makes a nice center piece. Outstanding job, Terry.

That's a pile for sure:beers:

Would you mind sharing the program and settings you are running. I have only found four so far this year two 60 rosies, one 61 washington and my latest a 43 merc. I am sure I have past over several and not realized it. I am still a rookie and appreciate veteran feedback

Hello Goes4ever & Other E-Trac Readers,

I probably should have posted this on the E-Trac Classroom Forum, but inasmuch as there are more of you
posting here, I thought I'd post my questions here.

I've had my E-Trac up and running for a week now. Today was the first day that I spent just doing old homes
where the lawn had been removed. I found three silver dimes 1907 to 1953, four tokens, and a few wheat pennies.
I used the 15" WOT coil I have used for years with my Explorer II, with the E-Trac last Friday at a similar site
with greater success, but I noticed that the depth was reading about three inches deeper than the depth of the
actual target. That was not the case today using the E-Trac and the stock 11" DD coil.
My first question is, is there some reason the WOT reads deeper with the E-Trac?
My second question is, should I purchase the 15" X 12" Butterfly coil or the 10" X 14" DD Excelerator coil to more
evenly match a larger coil to the E-Trac?
My third question is, which of the two coils I've mentioned, would be more useful?

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Respectfully,

The Nutty Teacher

Congratulations! That is a nice variety of silver.

holy moley my knees got weak my vision got blurry thats a boat load of silver buddy!! CONGRATZ on reaching 100... i hope to do 1/4 as well my fist year out detecting!!!

Wow! That's a lot of SILVER. Congratulations. Your the Silver King. That must be some
kind of Silver record.

Terry is one amazing hunter, the 100 silver is awesome but not only that the quantity and quality of the Indians he finds is fantastic. He finds the most interesting relics as well. He will probably blush as I say this not only is he a great detectorist he is a great friend and teacher, I have learned so much from him and he shares his knowledge so willingly. If you want to know more about his settings check out his website.

AWESOME job Terry!!! I feel a little "man crush" coming on!!!

Goes4ever,

Which coil do you use most of the time to find your Silver coins and do you use
Andy Sabisch's coin program?

I use a modified coin program, I start with the minelab coin program, opened up for silver dollars, opened up a LOT around the nickel area. I use the pro-coil 100% of the time!

thank you for the kind words Tony, my success has to do with a few things:

1. I hunt a ton, and I mean a lot! probably 5 days a week, sometimes more.....and yes I work a full time job..lol
2. I use an etrac which you all know is the best old coin detector available
3. I knock doors 95% of the time I hunt, I go to old farm houses almost all the time, they are great for old coins and relics
