Larry WTG on the GOLD coin, So was it a Low VDI #???????????
Mic

It was a VDI of +43 Mick.

Great find Larry congrats! Hope I to get lucky this summer and find a gold coin!

Nice going there buddy.

Thanks Digger. Boy does time fly, that was over 6 years ago already, seems like last year to me. I knew it had been a while when I saw the flip phone on my hip.

No way! Outstanding find! Definite bucket list for me

Larry, I'll bet that every time you look at that coin you re-live the euphoria of the experience of its first sighting!

I only know one person, personally , who has ever dug a gold coin: Explorer. He is a frequent poster on this forum. I'll never forget. He had had his DFX for about a week. I put my custom program on it and gave him a few hunting tips. He gave me a call and said: Blind Squirrel, I think that I dug a GOLD COIN!" I figured sure, a rookie digs a gold coin? It's probably a Mr. Gattis Token or some junk foreign coin. Well, when I got to his site , sure enough , he had dug a beautiful Mexican 20 Peso Gold Coin! In our detecting group he has the unique status of being the ONLY Gold Coin digger!

Larry, I hope that you dig another Gold Coin! Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!
Blind Squirrel
