My new shaft :clapping:

Priority mail arrived today! Carbon fiber solution for my EQ800 in the water or out, these have the best shaft locks. I am a real fan of this line of of shafts without mentioning who because I haven't seen them on the sponsor list. Aside, so far I'm not noticing the play in my stock EQ shaft like it has been demonstrated on this forum. Time will tell on that. When I mount up the EQ on this new shaft I'll toss up a pic. There are choices of 3 diff cuffs, your stock cuff is one of them. This item was available first and I WANTED it badly.
I have had issues with the Anderson CF on my Excalibur 2. Anderson is a quality product but I found quirks. Mainly the method the lower is secured. The nylon or plastic set screw wore through the lower shaft over time and it never felt snug. I did replace that lower with a sovereign lower and had 2 holes drilled for fitment. It's just okay now but not how I'd like it.
I had even considered cutting the screw lock collar off like I did on my whites and going with the shaft locks you see here, but I didn't want to mess up a CF shaft or loose length seeing I had to bring the lower rod further into the CF to make it secure. I've tried setting the armrest back but am out of adjustment holes on the A-shaft and would need to have drilled new ones further back without the cuff contacting the detector behind my elbow. I probably have an older design of the Anderson shaft, I'm in no way trying to detract from the product. These are just my observations.
I do have a detachable stand or could swap in the stock cuff for turf.
Sorry about the links, Photobucket screwed it's free photo hosting a while back. Heck I got finds from 2 weeks water hunting in MX during February I should post.
Happy Hunting!

I know that brand lol. I should be getting one of Petes shafts soon. Its going to be preference for the cuff. Im a fan of Andersons cuff just because of the side hole rather than the top and with the extended tube bottom it can take a lot of torque without movement. Is that a 3 piece? I intend on using my 3 piece that came with it for travel...... 3 piece for water hunting just tend to have more movement and more issues. So you using the factory lower?
