My past few hunts

Mark in S.E. IA

New member
Last Fri I hit a 1 room schoolhouse and found my oldest fish scale, a 1872 Canadian 5 cent piece and a Excelsior button. The place was picked over pretty good but they left a few nice ones.

Sunday I was doing a public lawn and found a 1875 Seated dime, a 1901 V nickel and a 1880 IHP.

Monday I was at a old school that was just closed down and I found 4 V nickels, 1890, 1907, 1908, 1911.

As you can see I scratched both silver coins

thanks for lookin and HH

That's some old stuff you got there Mark!
Congrats on the seated and the old Canada half dime
I wish the 1875 dime I got this year was in that good of shape.
I see you are nabbing the old nickels also. I scratched 2 buffs in a row last weekend for some reason also..

Great finds. When What is a "Public Lawn"? is that the edge along the sidewalk? Just asking.
