Need help to identify a coin

I need help to identify a coin . I was doing some hunting in my back yard and have came across a area with several good targets . One of the coins I came across was this one and I was wondering if anyone may know where and what it is

Japanese penny maybe:shrug:
 
I done a little research and I think I found out what it is. It looks like a Japanese Showa (penny) minted in 1944 and 1945. Below is a link to a picture I found.
