Recently met a fellow MDer at a local park, and he gave me a tip on a heavily wooded area that was once home to a Fairgrounds at the turn of the century. It pre-dated 1900, and aerials of it in the 40's showed the location, and that it was no longer in use. So, decided to try my luck out there today, and after 5 hours of hunting, and sacrificing two periods of the Flyers game, I found a 1898 Barber dime, and my first ever Capped Bust dime! A beauty too. It's an 1828 and in Fine condition. So, thank you Chris for sharing this location with me, and I'll definitely head back out there and hunt with ya. I didn't like hunting that deep in the woods unarmed and by myself, so next time I'm going armed or with a buddy. Definitely a lot of history is laying just under the soil there.
