New Deus V3

I have a deusk and a ctx. I feel confident that either will find small silver but as my wife repeatedly tells me you have to walk over the goodies to find them.

Wow... what a thread. People who can not grasp V.2 will not grasp V.3. Plain and simple. I bought my Deus used. The gentleman who owned it previously was having trouble making it work in his soil (he was from Canada). Upon receiving it I noticed he made modifications to the programs. I immediately did a restore and proceeded to hunt with factory settings (Basic 1). My 1st outing yeilded two Rosies from a park hunted many times by our club. Hmmmm... not bad so I went back again to the same area and found 11 more Rosies of which 8 had rust on them. That was with a factory program! They were most likely missed because of masking or the signal was degraded enough to make them sound like trash. I believe far too many times people get caught in the "More power" mentality and mess things up... get frustrated and quit, or in this case sell. That's a same too because they will not learn an otherwise great unit.

By the way, Thanks Andy for the advice in the Dues and what you were "discovering" about it because if for no other reason... I have 13 more Rosies in my collection!! :)

I thought I was bad back in the 70's using a Compass 77B. It was the top of the heap back then. But everytime I took a friend out named "Silver" with his lowly Jetco, the bottom of the heap, Silver would always out hunt me. Silver just knew his Jetco better than I knew my Compass 77B.

I had a Jetco.
That guy must have been a real wizard.

Perfectly stated . . . . . if it is not there no detector will find it plain and simple! I am always amazed at people that hunt the local parks or schools built 40 years ago and wonder why they are not hitting any coins from the 1800's . . . :stars:

It looks like v3 is going to be released on 15th of May - at least in Czech Republic. Local XP importer who also happens to be the only metal-detecting magazine (Detektor Revue) publisher used the back page of the newest edition for a full page ad announcing that (to be in sales starting from 15th of May).

Martin,
We'll see... I've heard those claims before.
Patiently waiting here....

Wow I wish I could read Czech.. Just looked up the magazine and it looks like a good read.
Some of the finds that they show are amazing.

Hope so the it is going to be released thing has been said many times now. So I will believe it when it is loaded and running on my Deus.

Hi Jas, I'm pretty positive in this case - this guy would not leave this date there and have it printed (he is both importer of XP and publisher of this mag as as far as I know he sends the final version for print like 5-7 days before I get it to my mailbox = not really 2 months in advance...) without having v3 Deuses on stock.

The ctx is a great machine but my wife using a deus alongside me found a celtic gold coin and a medieval silver whereas I found very little.

Will be the 15th in about 1 min in Czech republic can't wait to see V3. Starting to think it is a fairy tail or like Santa does it really exist. :drinking:

He's either having too much fun with V3 or V3 didn't materialize...

He posted 4 hours ago and didn't come back to tell us :D

You gotta do what you gotta do. I purchased a 3030 when they were released, did not like the fact it is blind to small Gold, traded it in for a XP Deus and have no regrets. You buy a detector for what it does Now, not what it Might do in the future. TONS of great detectors out there...wish I could own them all! Good Luck with the 3030, it is an awesome machine...but not that great for hunting small gold.

Another posted date here and gone still no V3. I know they been working on this thing a long time. Hope we see it soon. Also want Andy's book know he can't release it befor the V3 comes out seems like it has been forever.

Believe me . . . . . I had hoped to have the book out a few months ago as I have two more in the pipeline that are being impacted . . . . . as they say . . . "SOON" :cheekkiss:

Can I second BigBoar's request??? My library is overloaded from pre-electronic times and I would definitely prefer to get the book in *.MOBI, *.ePUB or Adobe DRM protected *.PDF. Andy, any chance to please us???
