I wasn't planning on getting one till next year being that Winter is almost here in Germany but I found a great deal (like 33% of regular internet price) on Ebay.co.uk. Just a month old, ok, it's not technically new but the warranty card wasn't sent in yet so...
Might have another good month of hunting time in the way the weather has been. I'm a coin hunter and am excited to learn this unit. I think when it arrives I'll swipe 100 or so coins by the unit to see where they fall, so perhaps I can set up a discrim pattern to compare against the quick mask screen on targets found.
Any of you guys have suggestions, I'm all ears. But note my location, so I'd have to run some variations of your programs. I think TTF will be what I play with first. The ground is pretty loaded with iron here. I'll start off hunting a field that has produced in the past, then I know of a park with clad that I left last time I was there as I was after older coins. Might be a good place to get a feel for the unit. Coming from a background of a Nautilus, T2, Omega and V3i I realize it's going to take time to learn the sounds. After all the reading over the months on the E-Trac (I also have Andy's book) I feel ok to go out and play with it BUT even after all the videos I've watch, learning the sounds is really really foreign compared to any unit I've had.
Thanks guys,
Albert
