New E-Trac owner...Help with ring settings

I have just received my new E-Trac and am hoping to search for rings. Are there any settings that I could program the E-Trac to help me out in finding any silver or gold rings.

Man you have to dig everything...to get rings!........silver is easy(12.....46,47......big gold easier (nickel 11,12.....12,13,14.........thin rings10,11,12,.......1,2,3,4,5,6,7,,9,,10.......you better have your digging gloves on!
 
First off, don't overthink the machine! You have to learn it, and you can't do that if you are constantly making changes.

Put it into the stock coin and dig everything that responds. After you have about 50 hours on it, then you can start thinking about making program changes (after you have read the owners manual and Andy Sabich's book several times)
 
Inside page of the manual. Turn on the detector-Press Noise Cancel- Go Detecting. The machine will find gold and silver. Dig repeatable signals learn the tones. The more complicated you make it the more frustrated you will get. Everytime you turn that machine on you will get better and learn something new. HH :minelab:
 
Dig ALL the low conductors. Thats where most rings lie in with all the foil and pull tabs. :(
 
Listen to all the above, it might get frustrating at first but it will pay big dividends in the end. Have fun and enjoy!
