New E-Trac

Just got it and went to my test garden, wow got all the coins even the 12 in quarter.Going to really like this machine. Just one problem it is snowing and cold. Hope to at least try it once in the park before the ground is froze. Going to be a really long winter.

I also live in an area were the ground freezes - in Ohio - but I plan on hunting all winter - on the nicer days.

A few things to keep in mind - the leaves on the ground in the woods generate heat - keeping the ground from freezing as deep as an open area - like a park.
Do you have any old foundations or abandoned houses in the woods you can hunt this winter ?

Also, a sand beach can be fairly easy to dig in the winter - any drained swim clubs or state park beaches in your area ?
In the last few weeks I dug (19) pieces of jewelry - ( 2 ) were solid gold ) and ( 213 ) coins in a local sand bottom swim club that was just drained for the winter.

We always tell property owner's that we will remove any kind of trash in the search area - cans, bottles, broken glass, pop tops, etc.
Most property owner's - like swim club owner's really like the idea of getting things like broken glass - that one of their customer's can cut their feet on - removed for free !
I just bring a plastic 5 gal. bucket with me to the beaches and dump the trash on the way home.

The Etrac is a FANTASTIC machine - good luck with yours !

HI I do not have any good places to go except parks. Have got to do some research and try to find good places to go. Thanks

I started hunting old parks that have been hunted to death with the E-trac and am finding silver that others missed

Welcome to the world of Etrac. I have owned numerous brands and models over the years, but have never seen the depth and trash seperation that the Etrac has. What a machine this is.
