I just got my new Etrac today and let me tell you this thing is awesome!!! My first trip out with it was to an old beach in my area that has seen activity for the past 200 years. I have to say this was the most stable detector i have ever used on a salt water beach! I had no falsing at all!. My friend had to turn down his machine to less than 50% sensitivity to handle all the black sand in the area. Found over twice as many clad coins as him and a 1942 Waling liberty half dollar! only had to dig 2 pull tabs and still pulled plenty of nickels too. I think he is considering getting one also!

I have to agree with you. I got one less than a month ago and I am thinking I can sell off my other two detectors now because I don't use them anymore...;o)

Good luck with the new machine........it was a wise choice:thumbup:

Glad you are happy, but I want you to be happier! When you hit a beach, you should use ferrous 2-tone with only the VERY bottom of the screen blanked out. You have to dig ALL the foil and pull tabs to dig the gold, but the beach is such an easy place to dig theres no reason not to. Beaches = jewelry

Nice going! I have been an Excalibur guy for about a year and am likely adding an Etrac to my arsenal.

Thanks for the 'rundown" on how your machine worked for ya! Congratulations on the finds!
