Notice that the wings of the coil are triangular.......not rounded........Unfortunately, I have no educated guess for that change.

Wouldn't putting a solid coil cover over the 11" DD more or less accomplish the same thing (if the point of the 10" DD is a closed vs open loop design)?

I had the same question Bart so are you saying time will tell cause Tek and you won't? I mean if there's something different about the guts inside then Tek should speak up. But all I see now is a big bad wolf in sheep's clothing. What's next? Maybe a open loop 5" DD ? But then that would be just a sheep in wolfs clothing. All I can see now is a 1" smaller 10" DD that's covered and I wonder why I'd need that when I have the 10" concentric and the 11" DD already...whats up with that? If somehow it preforms better then Tek should say so...if you know something we don't then speak up.
I'm still looking to pick up a 5" DD and at the rate this coils are coming out soon I'll need an extra bag to carry them. HH, Woodstock
