New Teknetics T2 Ltd ?????

n/t

jbow do you ever get to just detect or are you always in test mode . haha
I will let you know if i get one first

There's a F75 LTD coming out also. Shows how closely related the two machines are.
Seems goofy to say, but I'd be afraid of that camo design. Is it possible to lose a detector?

Can the factory do these mods to a stock existing T2 or F75 and if thy can will thy .
For a reasonable fee of course . Thanks Mike

I'm waiting to hear the answer to this one - just need the new software and electronics if any - since the stock T2 does have a boost mode built in that is activated by discrimination settings seems like it might just be a software upgarde - don't need the camo look myself.

It's not a software change. They changed out the microprocessor.

(Reading the flyer I posted at the top of this page explains. Sorry my mistake. please read the Fisher one for the F75 )

The new Fisher F75 LTD is a regular F75 on, (If I can coin the statement) steroids.

Fisher engineers have come across a new faster processor that they installed into the F75 platform. They added new "Code", a "Boost" mode, and a "Cache" mode. Must we not forget the "Camo" coloring.

Will it be a hit, it sure will, but it's not going to be to everyone delight either. If your a hunter that detects trashy sites, nasty tot lots, or city parks, this may not be your cup of tea. If your the type that complains about not receiving maximum stability, you won't care for this one.

On the other hand your one who hunts fields, beach's, woods, and likes operating balls to the wall with full power, this ones for you. There will be a noticeable difference in targeted depth ranges. The boost increase is quite apparent.

On the EMI subject: It's the same as the regular F75, Of course as with any detector one increases the sensitivity with, one increases the chance of interference. I certainly have had my share of F75's, and I can truthfully say EMI has not been a problem, no more than any other detector. I feel it's less, at least it is from my type of hunting. I have radar sites all around me. I do believe the early on complaints about EMI were caused by bad coils. This has been corrected by Fisher Engineering Department. I haven't had any customer remarks about it in some time. I'm sure that there is a few out there floating around that still have flunky coils on them, and the operators have no idea.

Well so much for that. I'm sure the detectorest that can appreciate raw power, will be as happy as a hog in deep do do.

I have them on order.

Guess I need to post some pics... but yeah, I love detectors as much as I love detecting! I haven't gotten out but once in the last two weeks though, found a 1964 silver dime Friday.

When I got the 4.75 coil for the T2 I went to a pounded place and pulled three RR baggage tags, a buffalo, and an old bullet... about .32 cal with part of the brass still on in... about half of it.

I'm going to Virginia on Wednesday for a hunt on Lee's retreat...

I am just a slacker when it comes to taking and posting pics. I am thinking about buying a filp HD video recorder to take to VA so I can post some stuff on YT.

I'll get off my butt and post some pics. Someone wants me to do some testing too and I need to get to it... but i'm old, tired, and on meds. laff.

I usually hunt 4-5 days a week but lately it's been crazy with my younger daughter visiting from Germany and my older daughter moving in with two children... arrrrghhhhh.

But... yes, I like testing too!!

I have had a T2 since they came out and very pleased with it. Could anyone tell me if it is worth changing to the T2LTD as there has been a lot of interest in it.

I did some air testing this evening with a measured distance between th back of the coil and going towards the control box marked off from 6" to 16"in inches I tried the LTD against my Etrac,as for the Ltds performance I used 2+ with sens of 60 disc 10 and call this "A", Then sens 80,everything else same as "A" will be "B" ,Boost sens 60,disc 10 will be "C",and finally Cache disc 10 sens 60 will be "D"
ALL FOLLOWING NUMBERS ARE INCHES

GOLD RING A= 9,B= 11,C=13,D=15
ROMAN GROT COIN A=7,B=8 C=10,D=10
COPPER 1/2 PENNY A=10,B=11,C=13,D=16
SILVER LOVE TOKEN A=9,B=12,C=12,D=12
TUDOR CLOTHES FASTENER A=8,B=8 ,C=11,D=12
MILLED SILVER SIXPENCE A=8,B=10,C=11,D=13

All these were the depths the signals degraded from a deffo digger to a walk on signal,I had my doubts about some of the claims but I have done this test on two different days just to satisfy myself, strange that some figures didnt change that much ?with boost and cache mode the item was passed over the coil much slower
I know these are only air tests and people will slag this off but I have no reason to big up the T2 Ltd as I have the Etrac which is top of the range,I just thought some of you may be interested in my findings ,whatever you do dont take these as gospel try it for yourself
