New to the ctx

Sand dog

I'm new to the ctx. Used explorers and excals a lot. But figured it was time to get a ctx. I mostly beach hunt saltwater and was wondering if anyone can give me any tips on the best way to setup the ctx for jewelry hunting the wet salt sand. I have it setup in beach program saltwater on using 4 tone ferrous sens at 25-27 swinging the 17" coil. Thanks for the help.

My best advice is to buy or rig up some kind of harness. The 17 throws off the balance and long stretches, especially over several days, will take their toll on your shoulder. With the 17 + a harness, I can go as long as my legs will carry me. Without it, I'm good for about 2 hours.

Go slow and investigate everything you don't KNOW is trash. And investigate the trash every now and then.

You may need good O rings so no water gets in. Minelabs red O rings leave some to be desired. Contact me via pm
