New to the E-trac

I just got my new E-trac about a week ago. And I was wondering what does everyone use to dig coins? Being new to this machine I have just been using the minelab pre-programs. Is there something better I could be doing that would help me not miss good targets?
 
yes - spend a week reading all the posts - and look at andy sabisch's coin program
 
Ditto what Barry said.I use a modified beach mode and quickmask for my cellar holes with great results.Enjoy your new E-Trac.It is the BEST out there!
 
I use Andy's Coin & Jewelry program - it's in his book - works great !

Reading the forums,watching YouTube vids,and reading andys book will help you out alot.Hunting somewhere with alot of coins for practice helps alot(schools,parks,ball fields).Dig all you can to get used to the VDI and Smartgraph. Here is a program I use to hunt parks and schools. I keep quickmask set up with all metal to double check the iffy targets(Dont worry about that at 1st). There are 3 programs here ,I only use the one shown in the picture lately...This is a coin and jewlery program(no relics).Good Luck and happy Hunting! http://www.findmall.com/read.php?63,1049319,1049426#msg-1049426

Thanks for the pattern Niagra. I will give it a try the next time out.
What settings do you normally use at parks and schools? Settings like "DEEP" "FAST RECOVERY" ect. I am new also and want to get a feel for the etrac fast!

Ive been running fast'off' and deep 'off' at the parks ive been Hunting this year.Trash density is on High 99% of the time.Im putting up a video of my hunt last night with this pattern at a local park.Ill throw the link in when its done uploading. HH
