NO JOKE! THIRD GOLD RING IN THREE WEEKS

banditicey

New member
We went out for a short night hunt at the old park I have found my prior two gold rings
The weather had been glorious all day, sunny and in the 60's

Brian was using TTF which I had recently put on his ET and had found a Merc at the location
he had previously found silver at but had thought it was dried up.

I was using conductive and going very slow and digging at every pull tab
It was again 12/13-17/18 and at 2-3 inches

We wear head lights during night digs (duh) and I saw the glow and the shape and I called for Brian and
he eagerly picked the ring out of the soil (he still has not found his first 14k ring:nopity:)

It is a 14k gold with a small diamond and onyx with a deco look to it
There is a P inscribed between the diamond and onyx and there is another inscription inside with a 1993 date
Because the inscriptions are different type it may be a old ring given to a younger family member years later

What is funny is that there are complaints that women tend to lose jewelry and all three gold rings I found were men's rings.

Very nice ring, congrats on the gold, will we see # 4 next week?

That's just amazing! I'm still waiting on my first....but I fear I don't dig enough pulltabs...lol. I only dig 12-26 signals because that's what my wedding band rings up as....lol. I know that gold falls in wide spectrum....but all these people dropping their damn pulltabs has put a real snare in our gold finding...lol. Congrats again on the gold!!!

I have to share something with you all

I am very active in our local detecting club

I have been furious at several members who have repeatedly brought in gold and silver to the finds table

That is because it is very obvious that none of the items have been dug and they have these items
every month including the winter months

It is an honer system and they are dishonorable and in my opinion thieves because the winner for
the category receives a silver coin paid by the club funds

There are many members who are aware of the situation and are very angry too

Long story short, we are changing our rules

But I believe that it is fates funny joke on me that I have found so much gold jewelry in such a short time:rofl:

Consider yourself highly blessed. I have dug ONE gold ring in FOUR yrs, and I dig EVERY nickel signal I come across. I do however have a nice pile of old nickels for my effort though. Congrats!

Wow - three good rings in three weeks - very cool indeed !

You are on FIRE!!!! :hot:
Looking forward to more!
