Nox 600 backlight question

I don't have a equinox but I did have a 600..i do alot of night hunting and that backlight was just way too bright..i read they toned it down on the 600 with a update,,anyone know if this is true? Any help is appreciated

It’s true. Seems to equal the low setting on the Nox800 to my eyes. Works great.

EQUINOX 600 Backlight Brightness

The EQUINOX 600 now has the ability to adjust the backlight brightness to an additional 'Low' setting that matches the minimum setting on the EQUINOX 800. This 'Low' brightness is ideal for detecting at night and in low light conditions.

The only cool thing that they could add is a pin pointing light on the control box. Kind of like a light on a garrett pin pointer, but on the shaft of the detector.

I had the same problem on the 600 the light was just too bright but the update took care of that, i use it all the time now and it is great, when turning the Nox off and then back on again the setting for low light will remain and the light will be on so i turn the light off first on the detector because if you day hunt the light will still be on. it doesn't take much battery use so is probably doesn't make much difference.
