Numbers change ?

I'm kinda new to this Etrac craze and I'd like to know if I run this what are the good numbers to look for. I have a list of some but do they vary from coin to coin . Like a Indian should be ? And with a nail three inches away does it change the number .
 
I'd suggest you download the E-TRAC Emulator software from http://www.thebeepgoeson.com. You can see how the E-TRAC displays the various US coins. There's also a file for silver and gold rings.
