Old beach research

Root Doc

New member
Good afternoon,

A number of people from the New England areas mention doing research to find old beaches for metal detecting. What type of research specifically are they talking about? What type of maps would be helpful? What other research tools would we look for? I am more interested in finding old areas along South Carolina and Georgia. Thank you for any help in getting me started.

The local library could be a big help!

Bob,

Thank you for your response. I think I will need to look for more of the old town or city maps to see where the hotels or bath houses may have been. Thanks again.
