Old park seems to be drying up :cry:

Father in law and I hit the old park that we've been hunting for two years and she seems to be drying up. Its only about a 2 1/2- 3 acre park and I figured this day would come. I'm not running anything hot with program, is there any tweaking I can do to rejuvenate this park? Still had a great time with my hunting partner and with a wet weekend and Sunday evening clearing up, it was nice to get out.

Thank you for any tips you have to offer as this old park has givin us plenty and I feel she has more.

Get a bigger coil and start all over?

You might try griding the area from a different angle. I'm always surprised at what turns up when I do this. Good luck!

Run your sens as high as you can in manual.

I'll second that, a big second. Run the sensitivity up to 28-30 and start checking out those iffy, "that's a big little word" signals. Anything that gives you that real high tone even if it is sounds rough through the headphones. Dig it! You'll be happy that you did, and you will learn a lot from it. A whole other realm for you doing that.......

I have an old school yard that is not giving up much so I start hunting it in TTF and I was suprised by the stuff I came up with. Found 6 nickles in an hour in an area I know we have pounded to death. Found a 1913 Buffalo in a trashy area about 8" deep. I would give that a try if you have not done that before.

Hey thanks to all who have responded, this gives me incentive to return. I know in one area of the park that is the size of a foot ball field, I need to run my sensitivity real low as I get real bad feed back or that everything is silver sound " very unstable ", is this an area that TTF would be beneficial? But as for the rest of the park, I will give it a shot. Griding from a different direction sounds good too.

I would definitely try TTF at that spot, you have to go slow but it is worth the effort.
