Oldest Silver coin to date...and it's Russian

I found this 1861 .750 silver 15 Kopeck Russian coin (Minted from 1860-1866) in a local fairgrounds Friday morning while I was waiting on some buddies to show up. We have pulled about 35 silver coins from this space since December.

It came up as a repeatable 12-41 at 3-4 inches and I was expecting a wheat penny. Imagine my surprise when I saw silver!

It is slightly smaller than a nickel and was holed at some point.

Very cool !

Congrats on the old silver. The hunting is brutal there so that makes it even sweeter. Wonder if the wear on the coin is from circulation or reaction to the ground there. Hardly a coin has come out of there with out some wear.
