OMG MY First Silver Ever & Its A 1893 Barber! :hot:

First time out of my back yard with new E-Trac & I found my first silver coin ever! it's a 1893 S. in decent shape for a 120 year old coin! It was about 7" down.....So happy! LOVE my E-Trac!
 
Way to go...I know how you feel when all of a sudden it shines its pretty self right in your eyes. Now you are hooked...
 
Help I need Morphine!!!!!! Its dark out and i cant detect!!!! :ranting:
 
Wow - what a great coin to start out with !

And don't worry about it getting dark out - the E-Trac is made for night hunting - the display light works great in total darkness !
I've gone on dozens of night hunts - a few them lasted all night till dawn - I think it's more fun than hunting in the day time.

Just get a little penlight or one of the baseball caps with the lights built in the rim - ( sold at Lowe's home center ) - and organize your other tools so they are easy to get to and hard to loose.
In the past I've forgot my digger or pin pointer at the last hole I dug and have had to walk back to get it - now I always do a tool check before I move on.
Other than those few little things - most of the time - I like night hunting better than hunting in the day time.

Now that is the way to break in an Etrac!

Night hunting is way cool with the Etrac! I must agree with the other Mark. I use a good LED headlamp. People don't bug you. And with the right light....
I do usually stick to private property at night though. Most parks are legally closed, and I hate it when cops stop you in the middle of the night.

Congrats again on the Barber! Nicely done.
