This depends on what you want from your phones. You can have light-weight, or field replaceable parts, or comfort, one ear, 2 ears, individual volume controls, etc etc. I have a set of grey-ghost phones an I love them. Regardless of the individual options you want, make sure you pick a set with high impedance and non-paper cones.

I like my Killer Bee wasps and also the SunRay Pro Gold. I have not noticed much difference between them.
Both quality phones. Use one and the other is backup.

And I have tested about every high end set made for detectors and several that were for listening to music.

You can't go wrong with any of the top brands. My main headphones are Sunray's Pro Gold and for the beach or areas where there is a lot of noise I use my Black Widow headphones..

It really comes down to Detector Pros or SunRays. I bought and use DP Grey Ghost Ultimate. Bought them before SunRay came out with theirs. I would like to try a pair of the pro golds to compare.

SunRay are good but so are the Killer B phones. I sometimes use cheapo RS lightweight phones if it is really hot. I get the ones with an inline volume control or I get the little extension for them that has an inline volume control. The wire on them is thin and a little long so I usually loop a knot into it and use a large gem clip to clip it to my shirt so I don't accidentally snatch the lightweight phones off my head... they seem fine to me and are nice when it is 90+ degrees.
