Pays to Run

I am training for a 50k Ultra Trail run this summer and on my way home noticed a couple of houses with dirt yards. Went home and got the Etrac ..no one was home at the first house. Stopped at the second and there was a retired man sitting on the porch knapping stones. I BS 'ed with him and he gave me permission to hunt the yard, but only the dirt part...45 min. later I ended up with this...great silver to wheatie ratio.

Very nice finds! Congratulations and thanks for the pictures. When I first read the "K" thing, I was thinking K as in thousand....ha ha. Forget about the metric mile. Thanks again.

Great finds !

I thought I was the only one to scout areas while out running, I enjoy it also and I can't tell you how many times I use the miles as opportunity to scout different areas for detecting potential. When

you jog by somewhere you get the slowmotion, closeup sidewalk look at a place which trumps driving by anyday, plus your not viewed as a threat because your on foot with nothing in your hands,

sorta like a neighbor? Even in the older blighted sections of town, as a jogger your not a threat and so never get a second look from residents. Don't get me wrong, you can't be a fool and go in

truly dangerous areas but it is a tool in the right area at the right time.
