Pennie’s, Pennie’s, Pennie’s…🤨

I spend about 10 hours to dig about $3.00 in Pennie’s. I spend less than 2 hours digging quarters to get the $3.00. Thinking about notching out all the Pennie’s on my Legend. I ran some VDI #s on all my different gold jewelry and could not get anything in the Penny numerical range. Most of the gold #s were in the pull tab range which are also a pain in the butt . I know I might miss the occasional silver but is it worth all the effort.
Here are just a fraction of some of my Pennie’s that I have dug, thinking of running the descent ones through the coin star machine. Just curious what your thoughts might be.

Most gold rings in the zinc penny range will be a wider target than the penny . Go to pinpoint mode and you can size the target pretty well. If they seem wider than a penny but smaller than a can I always did them. Lots of times it's a large fishing weight but I've found a lot of large gold rings too. If I'm only running into an occasional penny I usually did them but if they're everywhere I don't. Knowing your machine really well helps a lot. A lot of this strategy is age related. I used to did it all, now I don't.

I still dig pennies because I love finding Indian Heads and wheat pennies too. If you don't care about those, I dont think you'll miss anything notching them out.

Geez , I have found dozens of silver rings in both the zinc and Cu penny range and this guy smacked a solid 40 on my Legend
