Personal button

I am a little confused with the purpose of the personal button. I use it to turn my back light on and off. Can someone give me some other uses for the button and how they do it.

Just leave the back light on full time. Barely affects the battery life.

My personal button is setup on my CTX for toggleing between Modes.
It's nice to have when comparing programs, like if you are running a factory program, and then want to quickly double check your personally created one.

press and hold in to activate biggwer menu,you can scrool through and pick what you want to have that button activate one touch

I have mine set to switch between two programs, I go to menu pic the detecting program I want ,say one I built I call number 7, load it then go back to menu and pick the second program I want, say the factory beach program and load it. then when I push the personnel button it switches between the two.

G.E.'s method allow you to effectively hunt in 4 modes. toggle between the programs and then with or without discrimination. I use the GH program with 'seawater' on, manual sensitivity around 25-28 usually and use the 'stock coin' program as a backup. the stock program seems to give better depth accuracy.
