Promised myself

Promised myself I would get silver today. Along with a 1936 Quarter I rescued a Ring, 1937 and 1953 Nickels and seven Wheat Cents. Too bad I don't listen to myself more often.

It looks like you did some water hunting today Steve...... is the ring silver also?

No on the ring, might be tungsten, no markings, didn't add all the sinkers to the pic, nice catch on the water hunt. I went four lanes on the beach in the water area, then a life guard showed up with a new Garrett AT Pro and his younger brother holding a shovel. He so far only found a rusty pocket knife with his new detector. I showed him my footprints in the sand and my ring. Suggested he finish the beach and I would go back to where so far I found three wheat cents hoping for silver. After I found my silver quarter I went back to the beach to show them my finds and to see if they found anything. The smile on his face told it all. He found a .925 silver ankle chain and was very proud. I hope his find helps keep him in the hobby and maybe starts his brother to give him some competition.

Really nice seeing that buffalo nickel! :clapping: Good to see a ring in your finds also. Great to hear the newbie found a silver ankle bracelet and hopefully it will keep them both in the hobby. HH, Nancy
