Quarters littered the ground...

Nick A

New member
I got tired of digging them, really. Suzanne and I were at a school and the place was a wasteland of quarters. She had at least 24 quarters, a 1967 half dollar and I dug 37 quarters, 14 dimes, 3 nickels and 7 Memorial pennies... but 12 wheats! Weird place. I also got a 1944 dime and a small silver ring. I also forgot I stopped off at a small grass strip yesterday and dug an old toy car. I think it might be my favorite of all the ones I've ever dug. It's a 1940 Tootsietoy and is in great shape with all four of it's original tires.

Quite a day Nick! Thanks for the story and the pictures. Keep'm'comin'!!!!

Wow, there sure were a lot of quarters there! I'll dig them all day. Nice patina and paint left on that old car. It would look great in a finds display case. Congrats on the silver too!

(BTW I was able to get on Mike's site late last night and I posted some finds and leave comments. However I couldn't get on there again after that. Mike says there's a problem with the server. So if you don't see me there, it's because I still can't get on the site.)

Yes sir a little bit'o' battery money.
I go to the local park several times a year. There is a soda machine by the office. Always get a pocket full of clad. What the heck. I do it at night after everyone goea home. No harm, no foul.
