Question - Minelab Logo Bag problems anyone?

Hey all,

I ordered a Minelab logo carry bag and it arrived the other day - pic is at bottom. The bags material is super tough and the stock coil fits in there with room to spare and I can barely get the detector in there in one piece, which is nice.
But,

The zipper just keeps separating upon zipping it up. It happens more at the folds (where the bag was folded for shipping) but happens enough outside it as well. I imagine all bags are folded for shipping so this isn't really an excuse. Does this happen with yours or have you heard of this? I am sending it back but wonder if just the zipper mechanism might be bad and I got a lemon - so should I get another one sent back or is there a better brand?

Thanks,
Albert

I have three and have never had a problem with any of them. Sounds like you need a new one. I myself like the bags. When I release the bottom clamp and collapse the lower rod then there is plenty of room for the detector and the side pouch holds a lot of stuff as well. HH :minelab:

Hey Earthmansurfer,

It is a tight fit, but I am able to zip up my E-Trac with stock coil and keep the zipper from separating. It sounds as if you have a "faulty zipper." Others may want to reply? By the way, I really enjoy your videos...nice find on that Merc the other day.

Cheers

Thanks guys, looks like I have a faulty zipper "slide" or whatever that small piece is.

More videos coming Firewxman, going out tomorrow! Most welcome.

I have had several Minelab bags and have never had that problem (even with the older vinyl Minelab bags).----Sounds like you have a bad zipper.

A nice brass zipper would fix that problem...How about it Minelab?.....NGE

Actually I prefer plastic but I see your point.

Anyway, the problem is in the slide mechanism not the long zipper. Sent the bag back...
