I detected a grove yesterday afternoon that was used for picnics circa 1860 - 1900. Along with a nice old ring, I found a couple oblong shaped tags that each have a single letter on them. One is the letter E and the other is the letter N. And each tag has a hole drilled in each end. Any information as to what they might represent is appreciated. I've attached a pic of the tags and ring, with a dime to compare the size. I've also attached a pic of the ring after it was rinsed off. I can't see any lettering inside the band. But the stone is a light blue, and it rang up as 01 / 46 on the ETRAC, making me think I'd found a silver dollar! HH Randy
