Quick hunt at hunted out park = unbelievable success!!!

Had an hour or 2 to kill at pounded to death ghetto park. Hunted a spot that has been beat to death by Explorers... not by choice, only because the grass was just cut and that was the only spot in the park that wasn't 2 feet deep in grass. I was hoping for a stray indian or maybe a silver dime in the trash, but was shocked at all the signals I got!!! they were all inbetween zillions of pulltabs and iron and most of these targets came out of the hole with a trash items. The ground conditions were perfect which was why I got so many good signals to dig.

1901O, 1910, 1914 Barber Dimes... 1917D Merc... 1964D Roosy - barely legal ... 1906 V Nickel... 1890, (2)1899, 1902 Indians... Transit Token... couple of buttons... and not pictured - 10 wheaties. Quite an impressive haul for a spare hour to hunt around here! HH, Mike.

How did you ever make out with that deal where you got kicked out of the park and you were going to meet with them about it?

I never heard back from anyone. I dont sweat it, I'll hunt out there again.... just haven't had the time to yet. I got good parks a lot closer to home so I've been there instead. I figure if you ask, someone ignorant to the rules will say no just to cover their butt. No rule says I cant detect, so I'll keep doing it, and I'm not worried about the cops or rangers seeing me.... just the treehugger who reported me - hopefully she's in south america saving rainforests or something..... maybe she'll disappear in some quicksand or have her shrunken head nailed to a pole...

I Think that no place can be hunted out completely. Just return On a different day with different weather (or what ever) and the signals change.
I have had it happen a few times. Hunted sites and found squat then go back and hit the same spot and find old coins. I am going to start keeping track of the weather conditions and see if I can determine when the best time to detect is. I will try one of those pro weather meters. Seams like everything breaks down to science these days.
Explorers are the best when the ground allows them to be. (Just my opinion)

You hunted where others walk away from. Plain as that. Great hunt Mike. Just shows what patients will do.

Awesome - - you just don't know what surprise is waiting for you.

That was a well spent hour of time Mike. Those Barbers look nice. It still amazes me how a site can be hunted and pounded for years...then all of a sudden a "hot spot" is located...and some great stuff pops out of it.
