Rain covers

What screen rain covers do you use that fit the screen fairly tight so you don't have the wrinkle effect making it hard to see the screen. Got one with the detector that really was a sloppy fit. Bought a complete cover set for the screen, handle, and battery case off ebay, fits half decent but still has some wrinkles. Seen some images of others that seem to fit tighter without wrinkles. Are the Sun Ray a better, tighter fit?

The tightes fit I have seen is the Minelab one but it is so ridiculously tight that I have seen them rip being put on, even so there is some wrinkling in the plastic screen cover. I use the Sunray and while it too has some wrinkles it goes on much easier and is a heavier material.

I got one off of E-Bay too and it is kind of bunchy. Where do you order the Minelab one from? I couldn't find it sold anywhere.

If you use multi-tones, you won't see the wrinkles.........NGE

I have both the one from Minelab and one from SunRay. I found the one from SunRay to fit the best, have the least wrinkles and goes on and off the easiest. Rick IL.

Yep ... SunRay is the only way to go - I have a Minelab cover in the basement that I never use - it's just to hard to get on and off !

I like the protector model it's pretty good. They are making a new model that's padded, that I hope is going to be good.

By your post...if you use multi tone, you won't see the wrinkles, what is the purpose of having an expensive detector that gives features to help determine if a target is a good target, if you're just going by the tones. I hunt tones first, screen display second...but the screen display gives way too much additional information not to use it.

I ordered the three piece set from eBay, I like the battery cover, don't really see the point of the grip cover, and didn't care for the display cover (I was hoping it would cut down on the reflectiveness as the maker said it was less glossy, but that didn't seem to be the case). I ended up leaving my Sunray cover on with the eBay battery cover on. I was told the z a g covers use an antiglare/matte finish screen cover, so I'll see how they work to address the glare. I don't understand why the rain cover makers don't use an antiglare/matte finish display cover....seems like a no brainer to me
