Well last night I made my return to the "buffalo yard" hunted here thursday night and got 4 buffalo, a record in one day for me. I am happy if I get ONE old nickel from a yard let alone 4 !!!
Well last night was another great night. This yard had to be absolutely virgin, never seeing a detector ever. It is a small yard in town and there was literally coins every 2 or 3 feet. I was exhausted digging so much!!!
My return visit gave up 22 more wheats, 2 MORE buffalo nickels, another merc and a 1936 Washington quarter. Lead toy gun, Insurance token, copper bracelet, and the little lead thing marked C.N.R.R and 51 on other side. Is this from a railroad?
I didn't even picture all the clad I dug here, quarters everywhere. Whoever lived in this house over the years sure had butter fingers.....lol
The first pic is the haul from last night:
Here's the good stuff, one buffalo was in the hole sandwiched together with a merc. You can see where the dime was against the buffalo, that is why the buffalo nickel has that shiny face...lol It was a signal of 07-30 on the etrac, the nickel was on top of the dime in the hole.
And here is a group shot of everything from the yard except the clad. 36 wheats, 6 buffalo, 2 merc, barber dime, 1936 quarter, and all the other goodies
