Road Trip!

Road Trip With, Doug, Malachi, Diane and Tony

That is what we decided to do today take the detectors and hit the road to an old park out of town, giving our usual haunts a rest. This park has been pounded hard I was told but goodies have came from it before and we decided to pick up the gauntlet and see if we could emerge victorious from our wrestling match with this venerable park. About two steps into the park I got my first signal and it turned out to be a wheatie, well that was a good sign. It took about another half hour until Doug gave us a holler, under a big tree he came up with a 1908 Indian Head

very cool....im not used to metal detecting with other people....cute kid. "corroded and crusty" like grampa(?) :) i thought the coins were nice but spending time like that with your family is whats really great. (im assuming that is your family)

Well family sort of, Doug and his son Malachi are like family. I met Doug at a Dayton Diggers meeting, we seemed to hit it off, started detecting together and gosh have been doing ever since. The pretty lady is my wife Diane, we have been married 44 years. She just got into detecting and has been doing great despite the bad day on the road trip. Since last November she has found 6 mercs, 1 Barber dime and a Franklin Half!

I did not post a group photo I will try to get one next time. If you watch the video it will have everyone in it. The park dates to mid 1800's and is in Ohio. I will put in a few pictures of the Doug, Malachi, Diane and I

The group around the truck has Doug kneeling with Malachi beside him and that is me in the bib overalls.

Here is Diane helping out on a privy dig

Here is Doug and I again thats me in the bibs.

Thanks so much for the FAB photos and the lightening response
Believe it or not I have watched your videos often
