Hi Bigtuna,
I remember using these old White's way back when. Yes, if you have a target that seems iffy, swing faster over the target. Many times, you will find that a fast swing will help the detector ID better. If you swing over an iffy sound and it pings loud and solid with a fast swing, dig it!
